Full property description

A generously extended and immaculately presented 1920’s detached bungalow, set within beautiful, mature gardens and conveniently situated between Canterbury and Whitstable. Beulah now offers a stylish and contemporary interior, with a versatile and highly flexible layout, ideal for modern family life.

The property is entered via a UPVC double glazed front door, which opens into a welcoming entrance hall, with a cloakroom and wood effect flooring which extends throughout much of the property. There are four, generously proportioned bedrooms and a well appointed family bathroom to the front of the property.

The master bedroom is a particularly good size double room, with a range of fitted bedroom furniture and a stylish en-suite bathroom. This has been fitted with a luxurious white suite, including a free-standing, claw foot bath, a walk-in shower enclosure and attractive ceramic and mosaic tiling.

The sitting room is to the rear of the property and enjoys pleasant views over the garden through a set of double glazed French doors. Also to the rear of the property, there is a spacious, dual aspect kitchen/breakfast room with French doors and stable doors to the rear garden.

The kitchen has been fitted with an extensive range of modern wall and floor units, set around lovely granite work surfaces, a Belfast sink and ample room for a table and chairs. In addition to the kitchen, there is a useful utility room, with plumbing for white goods.

OUTSIDE:

To the front of the property, there is a wide, block paved driveway, which provides parking for at least three cars and leads to a brick built single garage. The rear garden measures approximately 92 ft and is mainly laid to lawn, with mature flower and shrub borders, a productive vegetable garden and a workshop and store. There is a beautiful brick patio area adjacent to the property and an area of raised decking with an inset hot tub, set beneath a covered pergola.

SITUATION:

Beulah enjoys a secluded, semi-rural position surrounded by lovely countryside, yet conveniently situated in Pean Hill, just outside the village of Blean, on the main road from Whitstable to Canterbury.

Blean is a small yet charming village with a good sense of community. It has its own doctor’s surgery, village store and post office, in addition to some other shops on the same parade. There is a garden centre and a pub and one of the best considered primary schools in the Canterbury area.

The cathedral city of Canterbury (just under five miles away) is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, with a thriving city centre offering a wide array of High Street brands alongside a diverse mix of independent retailers, cafes and international restaurants. The city also offers a fine selection of sporting, leisure and recreational amenities, including the refurbished Marlowe Theatre.

Canterbury has an excellent choice of educational amenities, ranging from Grammar schools to well regarded private schools and three universities. Canterbury offers a regular rail service to London Victoria, Charing Cross and Cannon Street and the high speed rail link connects with London’s St Pancras from Canterbury West station in just under one hour.

The charming seaside town of Whitstable (less than three miles away) is famous for its seafood and annual oyster festival, held at the vibrant harbour and picturesque quayside, The town has a variety of independent shops and boutiques, as well as high street names. There are good local schools, numerous restaurants, excellent leisure facilities and its own mainline railway station with a high speed service to St Pancras.
